Another fantastic week for the Impact Protocol community and our team. As I write this blog, we are almost one month from our main-net launch on April 15th at NFT.NYC! We are focusing our energy on the new chain and getting ready for the official launch on April 15th, and we cannot wait to see some of you there!
Gabriel and our Impactoshi testnet team are hitting it out of the park on delivering our project, a next-generation blockchain platform to build on! Our hats are off to Gabriel and this team for their late nights and teamwork! We are very fortunate to have this dedicated group finding and squashing bugs!
Our meme contest is wrapping up, and Yannick is doing a formidable job helping organize and manage this effort and juggling our massive meme contest. Which had over four hundred submissions! Thanks to everyone for participating in this fun and engaging competition. We look forward to building on the success of this competition as a consistent community-building theme.
We had an excellent town hall on Wednesday to discuss some of our epic successes with our testnet and voted on a few future items. And you know what? We’re not slowing down any time soon! We voted on discovering a new tiered model to give active participants an even louder voice in our project’s direction. When our community scales into the thousands, we need to be ahead of this by separating out listeners and participants and protecting them from disruptive agents. An arduous task, but one we can solve!
We will focus on this even more in our discord community next week. So if you still need to be part of our discord gang, please join and get in on the action! Our large signal group is also very active, and we have found this to be a great communication tool to quickly promote news to our Impact community.
We’re also introducing a weekly town hall segment where we’ll choose a few items to discuss and vote on during the town hall. These items will be related to expenses that require funds to execute and distribute. It’s all part of our rapid sprint-to-launch and pretty darn fun. These weeks are flying by, but we love every minute. Let’s keep this keep the Impact party going!
Exciting news! We are delighted to share that Bruce Porter Jr. with the Washington Elite will take the stage at the 2023 AIBC summit in Dubai from March 13-16. Bruce will be joined by his Core team members Robin Matthes and his brother David, providing even more opportunities for networking and potential collaborations at the event. The AIBC summit boasts an impressive lineup of speakers and attendees from around the globe, making it the perfect opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about the latest trends and developments in these rapidly evolving fields. This event is one of the most highly anticipated gatherings in the blockchain and AI industry, and we can’t wait to be a part of it.
At the AIBC summit, Bruce will discuss the latest developments in the transition of Global Boost to Impact Protocol swaps, which involves moving from a proof of work (PoW) consensus algorithm to a hybrid PoW + PoS consensus algorithm. This update will significantly enhance our blockchain’s security, scalability, intelligence, and efficiency.
To top it off, Bruce and David will be conducting interviews throughout the event for the Washington Elite. Running a decentralized hybrid project is challenging, fun, and sometimes stressful. But this is where the true magic emerges when you have strong teams! As one of the original Impactoshis, I am happy to be a part of this magnificent team and committed to ensuring that we all stick together, communicate more, and continue to overcome every obstacle that comes up in front of us. I like to remind people that the first thing to solving a problem is discovering where and what the problem is; otherwise, a solution is elusive! Risk mitigation is a blessing and a curse and can halt innovation if it isn’t managed correctly.
